Abstract

One of the main discussed topics in the scientific community about evaluation is represented by the choice and definition of the criteria for evaluating research. In this context, the debate on the evaluation in the legal sciences is particularly delicate. Under the influence of the exact sciences, researchers in this area are now partly encouraged and sometimes forced to follow the evaluation model of the latter. The case study on evaluation procedures described in the Italian legal journals, which is briefly outlined in this paper, fits precisely in this scenario raising a lively debate, which places the legal area at the core of the discussion.
