Abstract

Medical Tourism is acknowledged to be one of the most interesting phenomena to have emerged in recent years originated in response to a new global concept of global tourism, and of which is a niche. As such, the novelty of the phenomena has been questioned among scholars, experts and non experts in the related sectors. The following article aims to analyze a number of definitions for the term medical tourism and some synonyms to clearly identify the characteristics that are essential to the concept of the medical tourism domain.
