Mixed geographical concordances

A geographical reading of Il Piacere with C.A.T.M.A., Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Docs

Abstract

This document includes an analysis of the italian novel Il Piacere, written by Gabriele D’Annunzio, and contains maps of the novel’s main places. I’ve analized words and whole corpora of text with the software C.A.T.M.A. (Computer Aided Textual Markup
and Analysis, <www.catma.de>). C.A.T.M.A. is a practical and intuitive tool for people with an interest in literary research. C.A.T.M.A. facilitates text analisys because it analyzes whole corpora of texts in one work step, shows the visualization of the distribution of items of interest and gives the possibility of  advanced search in the text.
