Methodology for the construction of a terminology and a thesaurus to enhance the documentary heritage of mining

Abstract

The goal of this paper is to present the methodology employed to compile two knowledge organization systems: a terminology and a thesaurus in the knowledge organization framework. The general purpose is to show the link between linguistics, terminological and documentary units in order to highlight the complementary nature of the objects studied for the enhancement of a specific heritage: the one of coalmines of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining area.
