Abstract

The article aims to examine some archival concepts, such as order, time and space in the light of statements from physical science. In particular, it reflects on the archival order and on its dynamism, underlining how a series of external actions contribute over time and space to redefine the archive. The impact of the RiC standard on archival description models and on the possibility of integrating them within intercultural systems where the term context takes onwider meanings is also assessed.
